The survivor looks on in horror as black water inexplicably pools around their feet. They are **imprisoned**.
### Imprisoned:
Suddenly, the ground gives way. The survivor is swallowed by an angry portal of dark water sloshing on the ground; nothing but damp stone remains in their place. As they plummet into a pitch-black ocean, slimy leaves lash their panicked, drowning body in the darkness.
The survivor gains the **Pod Imprisonment** survivor status card. They will attempt to break free in subsequent survivor turns.
### Struggle
Set the survivor's insanity to 0 and roll 1d10.
**Condition:** If you rolled **4 - 9**: If the survivor has the [[Legendary Lungs]] secret fighting art, the crushing waters are no challenge. Use the Free at Last (10+) result instead.

| 8 - 9 | Scarred. Place the survivor in an unoccupied corner of the showdown board. Archive their **Pod Imprisonment**. They gain 1 bleeding token and 1 **Dark Water** strange resource. |
