So fierce were the monsters master that it never thought to protect its own back, knowing what horrors lay behind it. ## Nemesis (Skip Hunt) Departing survivors do not have a Hunt phase. Story Event ![[Story_EventIcon_black.png]] [[King's Curse]]. Roll 1d10 + defeated monster's level on the table below. The group gains the following rewards: | 1d10 | Reward | | ----- | ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- | | 1 - 4 | Add 2 Broken Lantern and 1 Monster Organ basic resources to settlement storage. | | 5 - 8 | Each survivor gains 1 random fighting art. | | 9+ | 1 **Steel Sword** rare gear, 1 basic resource. | If the settlement innovated [[Nightmare Training]] when they defeat a level 3+ King's Man, the survivors are inspired by the battle. Each remaining survivor rolls 1d10. On a result of a 3+, the survivor gains [[King's Step]] secret fighting art. ### Defeat The King's Man rudely breaks something as it leaves the settlement. If the settlement innovated [[Pottery]], return it to the innovation deck.
